{"id":252113,"date":"2026-07-26T01:09:07","date_gmt":"2026-07-26T01:09:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/252113\/"},"modified":"2026-07-26T01:09:07","modified_gmt":"2026-07-26T01:09:07","slug":"pittsburgh-parks-conservancy-celebrates-20-years-of-schenley-plaza-with-community-jubilee","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/252113\/","title":{"rendered":"Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy celebrates 20 years of Schenley Plaza with community jubilee"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">PITTSBURGH \u2014 Neighbors came out in celebration of Schenley Plaza on Saturday. <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy celebrated 20 years of the plaza with a free community jubilee. <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">Two decades ago, the plaza was a gravel parking lot, and over the years it has become something officials call a \u201cgreen oasis\u201d for visitors. <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">\u201cSchenley Plaza is such a special place,\u201d Alana Wenk said. \u201cIt\u2019s really hard to imagine Pittsburgh and Oakland without Schenley Plaza here.
