This video has details."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Earlier this summer, we were excited to help kick off the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kidsburgh.org\/the-new-wont-you-be-a-reader-regional-literacy-campaign-brings-free-books-fun-events-and-much-more\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Won\u2019t You Be a Reader<\/a>?\u201d campaign, a year-long literacy effort that brings together a whole bunch of Pittsburgh area organizations.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re curious about all the ways your family can get involved, including entering the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kidsburgh.org\/youre-invited-to-join-the-jerome-bettis-summer-reading-challenge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Jerome Bettis Summer Reading Challenge<\/a> (which runs through Aug. 31, so your kids still have time to get involved and maybe win tickets to a Steelers home game!) or by telling us about your favorite books so we can feature you (or your kids!) in our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kidsburgh.org\/topic\/book-picks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Book Picks<\/a> series, check out the video below.<\/p>\n<p>Pittsburgh\u2019s first lady, Katie O\u2019Connor, and Kidsburgh\u2019s director Yu-Ling Cheng stopped by KDKA-TV\u2019s \u201cPittsburgh Today Live\u201d recently to talk all about this project and the fun events planned for this fall (including Literacy Under the Lights celebrations on local football fields) with PTL hosts David Highfield and Heather Abraham.
