The USA Today Readers\u2019 Choice Awards for 2026 recently recognized a Pennsylvania cake shop as one of the best in the nation.<\/p>\n
The June 17 report, \u201cBest Cake Shop (2026),\u201d named Ady Cakes in West Reading the No. 8 best in the U.S.<\/a><\/p>\n USA Today lauded Ady Cakes for its made-from-scratch buttercream<\/a> and creative flavor combinations.<\/p>\n \u201cCustom designs range from elegantly minimalist to sculptural showstoppers,\u201d the USA Today analysis read.<\/p>\n This isn\u2019t the first major recognition earned by Ady Cakes \u2014 owner Ady Abreu Miriello won a 2012 episode<\/a> of the popular Food Network competition show Cupcake Wars<\/a>. The episode was themed for a Renaissance Faire event<\/a>, and Abreu Miriello won $10,000 for her first-place finish.<\/p>\n Ady Cakes offers ready-to-go cakes, custom cakes, cupcakes, cake pops, French macarons, sugar cookies and stuffed cookies.<\/p>\n Here\u2019s a sample of the shop\u2019s extensive menu:<\/p>\n Peanut butter lovers cakeCherry pie cakeIce cream cone cakeHeart cakeMini cupcakes for $20 per dozenJumbo size cupcakes for $6 eachCake pops for $3 eachNew York City style stuffed cookies for $8<\/p>\n Custom cake pricing typically ranges from $8.50 to $15 per serving. Signature cakes<\/a> generally range from $6.50 to $9.50 per serving, depending on the design.<\/p>\n The Centre Daily Times has contacted staff with Ady Cakes for comment about the USA Today recognition.<\/p>\n Location and hours<\/p>\n Ady Cakes is located at 631 Penn Ave. in West Reading, Pa.<\/p>\n Hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
