EASTON, Pa. – An Easton organization that provides care and support to children and families say its Executive Director will step down after 44 years with the group.<\/p>\n
Children’s Home of Easton Executive Director Anita Jo Paukovits will retire at the end of this year, with her official retirement date set for Jan. 8, 2027, the organization said in a news release.<\/p>\n
The organization said Paukovits joined The Children’s Home of Easton as a direct care staff member in 1982 and advanced through the organization over four decades.<\/p>\n
She served in a variety of leadership roles before being named Executive Director in 2015, according to the news release.<\/p>\n
Under her leadership, The Children’s Home of Easton has strengthened its programs, expanded services, enhanced community partnerships, and increased its impact throughout the Lehigh Valley and beyond, the organization said.<\/p>\n
The Board of Directors started a comprehensive search for the organization’s next Executive Director, according to the news release.<\/p>\n
An announcement regarding Paukovits’ successor is expected later this year.<\/p>\n
