{"id":25333,"date":"2025-11-05T09:28:15","date_gmt":"2025-11-05T09:28:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/25333\/"},"modified":"2025-11-05T09:28:15","modified_gmt":"2025-11-05T09:28:15","slug":"man-wanted-in-fatal-shooting-of-18-year-old-in-pittsburgh-area-arrested-in-florida","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/25333\/","title":{"rendered":"Man wanted in fatal shooting of 18-year-old in Pittsburgh area arrested in Florida"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A man wanted in connection with the deadly shooting of a teenager this summer in Wilkinsburg was arrested in Miami, authorities said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Harvey Scott was taken into custody on Tuesday by the U.S. Marshals Service&#8217;s Florida\/Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force, the Allegheny County Police Department <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/AlleghenyCountyPolice\/posts\/pfbid02xx5D8LrRm4mPkrCXH6wFtitDAj1MSM8qbeFxMn7zQkEegoQcd1HdComhqLAvPe9tl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-absolute=\"true\">said in a Facebook post.<\/a>\u00a0He was wanted in the death of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/pittsburgh\/news\/man-shot-wilkinsburg-wesley-street\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-absolute=\"true\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\">18-year-old Deglin St. Clair<\/a>, of Larimer, on June 18. The teen was fatally shot in the stomach at the Paul Court housing complex on Wesley Street.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Scott, of Wilkinsburg, is charged with homicide, persons not to possess a firearm and carrying a firearm without a license, county police said.<\/p>\n<p>Wanted Pittsburgh-area man arrested in Florida<\/p>\n<p>The U.S. Marshals Service said the 37-year-old Scott was arrested after a brief foot chase on Tuesday. It said authorities received a tip that the wanted man may be in South Florida. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The members of the Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force work tirelessly and diligently to locate Harvey Scott in Florida.
