CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – Hundreds of housing experts, stakeholders and community leaders will gather at DeSales University Center to release the results of a two-year project called the Lehigh Valley Housing Supply and Attainability Strategy.<\/p>\n

Funded by Lehigh County, the strategy has been a partnership of the Lehigh Valley Planning Commission and Urban Land Institute to help erase a more than 6,000-unit housing shortage that is pricing families out of the Lehigh Valley market, by providing realistic ways to provide more housing at locations and prices points that benefit everyone.<\/p>\n

The public is invited to join the reveal, according to a news release from the LVPC.<\/p>\n

Lehigh County, in partnership with the LVPC, Urban Land Institute and Northampton County, will present \u201cUnlocking Housing Solutions\u201d \u2014 a discussion about how the Lehigh Valley will emerge from its housing crisis \u2014 at 8 a.m. on Aug. 26 at DeSales University<\/p>\n

LVPC says the event will include:<\/p>\n

Release of the final Lehigh Valley Housing Supply and Attainability Strategy.<\/p>\n

Unveiling of a digital dashboard that every builder, developer, financier, broker, homebuyer or municipality can use to analysis and track every community\u2019s housing market.<\/p>\n

More than a dozen experts talking about real solutions to creating more housing where it\u2019s needed and at the price points that benefit everyone.<\/p>\n

Addresses by Lehigh County Executive Josh Siegel and Northampton County Executive Tara Zrinski.<\/p>\n

Next steps for implementation, including efforts already underway.<\/p>\n
