The contract is worth $152 million with $106 million guaranteed and makes him the highest-paid DT in league history, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/AdamSchefter\/status\/2082149239660884094\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">ESPN&#8217;s Adam Schefter<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>ESPN reported the contract could be worth up to $160 million.<\/p>\n<p>Carter made his second straight Pro Bowl last season despite playing just 11 games because of shoulder injuries and a heel injury. He recorded three sacks and 41 pressures in his third NFL season, while often being doubled and triple-teamed.<\/p>\n<p>He may not have taken the leap in his third season that many expected \u2014 and he escaped further discipline after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/philadelphia\/news\/jalen-carter-ejected-spit-on-dak-prescott-eagles-cowboys\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">spitting on Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott<\/a>\u00a0in the season opener \u2014 but he also played hurt.
