Work is weather-dependent.<\/p>\n<p>When encountering a work zone, PennDOT asks motorists to drive the posted speed limit, turn on their headlights, pay close attention to signs and flaggers, and avoid all distractions.<\/p>\n<p>In high-traffic locations, motorists are encouraged to use both lanes to the merge point and take turns merging into the open lane.<\/p>\n<p>Drivers can check conditions on major roadways by visiting <a href=\"http:\/\/www.511PA.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">www.511PA.com<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,200 traffic cameras. <\/p>\n<p>511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts. <\/p>\n<p>Find PennDOT\u2019s planned and active construction projects at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pa.gov\/DOTprojects\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">www.pa.gov\/DOTprojects<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"max-width: 300px; margin: 5px auto -5px; display: block;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/slj-article-box-img-1.webp\"\/><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px 9px 3px; font-size: 14px; line-height: 1.4;\">Local journalism matters, and your support makes it possible.
