(WHTM)\u2013 A Pennsylvania man was sentenced to two years in prison for his role in a nationwide network of people who bought and sold human remains, including the remains stolen from Harvard Medical School.<\/p>\n
According to the U.S. Department of Justice, Joshua Taylor, 49, of West Lawn, Pennsylvania, was sentenced July 27 to 24 months in prison for conspiracy and interstate transportation of stolen property.<\/p>\n
Close<\/a><\/p>\n Thanks for signing up!<\/p>\n Watch for us in your inbox.<\/p>\n Subscribe Now<\/p>\n SIGN UP NOW<\/p>\n The DOJ said that Taylor admitted to being part of a network and purchased human remains from multiple people knowing that they were stolen.<\/p>\n Taylor was one of two people who sold the stolen remains for profit, including to Jeremy Pauley<\/a>, who was sentenced in connection with the sale and purchase of human remains from Harvard Medical School and an Arkansas mortuary. Pauley previously lived in Enola, Cumberland County.<\/p>\n Several other individuals have been arrested in connection with the network, including Cedric Lodge, who managed the morgue for the Anatomical Gifts Program at Harvard Medical School.<\/a> Lodge and his wife, Denise Lodge, would sell the remains to Katrina Maclean, Taylor, and others.<\/p>\n The DOJ said that Lodge allowed Taylor to enter the morgue at Harvard Medical School and examine cadavers. He would sometimes transport stolen remains to Pennsylvania, and sometimes have them shipped to him.<\/p>\n Cedric and Denise Lodge were sentenced<\/a> to prison time in December 2025.<\/p>\n Copyright 2026 Nexstar Media, Inc.
