Led by Seth Greenwell\u2019s top-10 finish, the Bethlehem Eagles placed third in one of the most loaded prep golf tournaments of the season this past weekend.<\/p>\n
Greenwell led the way with a 2-over 74 to wind up in a six-way tie for eighth as Bethlehem tied for third with a team score of 306 in the annual Big Daddy Cardinal Classic at Campbellsville Country Club.<\/p>\n
The Eagles were tied with Trinity, coming in behind champion St. Xavier and runner-up Christian Academy of Louisville.<\/p>\n
St. Xavier won with a team score of 284, 17 shots ahead of Christian Academy. The Tigers, who had four golfers finish in the top five, were the only team to shoot under 300 for the day.<\/p>\n
Following Greenwell, Miller Osborne tied for 14th with a 3-over 75, Kaden Puyear tied for 24th with a 5-over 77, Owen Horton tied for 37th after an 8-over 80 and Thomas Newton tied for 81st after a 16-over 88.<\/p>\n
Bardstown, meanwhile, was 26th in the team standings with a score of 383.<\/p>\n
Caden Stone tied for 58th after a 12-over 84, Max HIte tied for 98th (93), Gabe Berry tied for 120th (97), Landon Keeling was 138th (109) and Reece Unseld was 146th (125).<\/p>\n
Bethlehem places second in Commander Classic<\/p>\n
Greenwell and Osborne each fired 74s to tie for seventh overall as the Eagles were runner-up in Monday\u2019s Commander Classic at Lincoln Homestead.<\/p>\n
Horton and Puyear each had a 75 to tie for 13th and Newton finished 27th with an 80 for Bethlehem, which shot 298 as a team \u2013 two shots back of champion Central Hardin.<\/p>\n
The Eagles\u2019 B team placed 12th with a team score of 355. William Elder led the B squad with a 6-over 77, placing 18th. Braden Hutchins tied for 51st (86) and Caleb Mouser tied for 53rd (87).<\/p>\n
Bardstown was 13th overall with a team score of 357.
