QUAKERTOWN, Pa. — Tuesday’s heavy rain led to flash flooding across parts of the area, forcing drivers to navigate around flooded roadways.<\/p>\n

Now, as the water recedes, businesses and homeowners are left cleaning up the damage.<\/p>\n

Many people are waking up Wednesday to see what was left after that torrential rain made its way throughout our area.<\/p>\n

Parts of Quakertown, Bucks County, were hit hard by flash flooding. The borough declared a flood emergency, urging people to stay home.<\/p>\n

Quakertown streets flooded after heavy storms<\/a><\/p>\n

Several roads were blocked off Tuesday night due to the flooding.<\/p>\n

Debris and trash could be seen scattered after the floodwaters went down.<\/p>\n

In nearby Coopersburg, Lehigh County, flooding forced an ice cream shop to close early Tuesday night. Workers at The Inside Scoop could be seen cleaning up water inside of the shop.<\/p>\n
