(WHTM)\u2013 The music competition American Idol got renewed for its 25th season on ABC and Disney+, and the show is looking for contestants from Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n
The new season is set to kick off on August 25, 2026, with the return of “Idol Across America<\/a>,” a live, nationwide virtual search for the next American Idol. The VIP Day on August 25 will be open only to the first 250 participants who register.<\/p>\n Pennsylvanians looking to show off their skills can register for “Idol Across America’s” Pennsylvania date on August 27. Registration can be done online<\/a>.<\/p>\n “Those auditioning will be given the opportunity to showcase their talents face-to-face with an “American\u00a0Idol” producer, from anywhere in America, across any official audition date for a chance to proceed to the judge auditions,” said ABC in its announcement Wednesday. “Contenders will also be allowed to audition during open-call dates, and auditions will be open worldwide to all those eligible.”<\/p>\n Participants can participate on any date regardless of where they are located, according to ABC.
