The footage shows a bike coming to a sudden stop as a semi-truck passes.<\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"4\">An older rider helped the boy onto the sidewalk, as he appeared unable to move his legs to get out of traffic. A driver in an SUV stopped behind them and ran to assist.  <\/p>\n<p><img src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/457dce76-df96-45d3-8326-250dfde43757.jpg\" alt=\"Image no longer available\" width=\"100%\" height=\"auto\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" draggable=\"true\" class=\"css-fphibt\"\/><img src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/457dce76-df96-45d3-8326-250dfde43757.jpg\" alt=\"Image no longer available\" width=\"100%\" height=\"auto\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"css-hr9vxw\"\/>Emergency crews respond to injured child<\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"7\">According to the county dispatch report, police and fire officials were notified soon after that a 9-year-old had been injured. Emergency responders arrived at the scene, detoured traffic, and helped the two riders.  <\/p>\n<p>Concerns about road conditions and e-bike safety<\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"9\">Brooker expressed concerns about the dangers of riding bikes on McDade Boulevard. &#8220;No bike lane or nothing. As you can see, the paint is gone. It&#8217;s a lot of holes in the streets. It needs to be fixed,&#8221; he said.  <\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"10\">He also noted the growing popularity of e-bikes in the area. &#8220;So many local businesses are selling e-bikes and it&#8217;s a thing now, sad to say,&#8221; Brooker said.  <\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"11\">Police and fire officials have not yet provided an update on the boy\u2019s condition.
