LeBron James is already making history as a Philadelphia 76er<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The King’s No. 23 jersey with the Sixers broke Fanatics’ record for most jerseys sold in the first 48 hours after a player joins a team in any sport, according to NBC10’s partner, the Philadelphia Business Journal<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The previous record was held by Shohei Ohtani after he joined the Los Angeles Dodgers<\/a> in 2023, according to the Journal. However, the exact number of jersey sales was not released.<\/p>\n

Fanatics has been the e-commerce partner of the NBA<\/a> since 2015.<\/p>\n

James signed a two-year deal with the Sixers last week<\/a> and said he wants to lead the Sixers, who also have All-Stars Tyrese Maxey, Jaylen Brown and Joel Embiid, to his fifth NBA Championship. <\/p>\n
