Student Government Board discussed Pitt Eats\u2019 allergy protocol and announced plans to address SNAP cuts at its weekly meeting Tuesday night in Nordy\u2019s Place.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Board member Rachel Smookler said she met with Pitt Eats<\/a> dietician Lindsay Wilson to discuss allergy training for Pitt Eats employees.<\/p>\n \u201c[Pitt Eats is] reworking Schenley Cafe\u2019s<\/a> allergy protocol to prevent cross contamination better,\u201d Smookler said.<\/p>\n Smookler said Pitt Eats is updating the menus for Schenley Caf\u00e9 and other locations that currently have incomplete menus.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201c[Pitt Eats is] working on putting complete allergy menus on Transact<\/a> and Dine On Campus<\/a>,\u201d Smookler said.<\/p>\n Smookler encouraged students to reach out to Pitt Eats if they have any questions or concerns about allergies.<\/p>\n \u201cGo to [Wilson], or go to the ingredient experts<\/a>, which are the managers with blue hats at the Eatery or any of the retail or meal-swap locations,\u201d Smookler said.<\/p>\n Board member Kylie Baker and Smookler announced plans to address SNAP cuts<\/a> and support Pitt Pantry<\/a> through community engagement.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cBaker and I are planning a food drive for Pitt Pantry to help them in the face of SNAP cuts,\u201d Smookler said.<\/p>\n Board member Andrew Elliott said he is continuing <\/a>to address student concerns about construction causing sidewalk closures.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve been working with construction administrators to see about next steps in contacting the City to deal with this construction,\u201d Elliott said.<\/p>\n President Marley Pinsky reminded students about the Campus Master Plan presentation<\/a> on Nov. 6.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is really important to just show up, show them that we care and that we pay attention to the future of campus developments,\u201d Pinsky said.<\/p>\n Allocations:<\/p>\n Engineers Without Borders<\/a> requested $8,756 for a service trip. The board amended and approved this request to $7,500.<\/p>\n
