PITTSTON \u2014 A unique concert is coming to St. John the Evangelist Church when Lumos presents \u201cThe Beatles Candlelight Experience in Pittston\u201d on Friday, Sept. 18, with three shows.<\/p>\n
The concert featuring a string trio will perform songs from The Beatles catalogue will have show times at 4:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Ticket prices range from $25 to $70 plus booking fees.<\/p>\n
The Lumos franchise hold concerts, many in churches, all over the USA, United Kingdom, and Europe with several troops in service at the same time.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe choose venues that make every performance feel special,\u201d Imogen Scanes, Lumos marketing and events assistant, said. \u201cAlongside beautiful churches, we also host concerts in historic venues such as castles, manor houses, vineyards, gardens, and other unique locations.\u201d<\/p>\n
According to Scanes, churches are particularly well suited to live music thanks to their \u201cstunning architecture and natural acoustics.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThey\u2019re also found in towns and cities across the country, making it possible for us to bring these experiences to local communities,\u201d Scanes added. \u201cWe want as many people as possible to be able to enjoy live music in beautiful, historic settings closer to home.\u201d<\/p>\n
Each location features a number of candles laid out around the stage and varies depending on the size and layout of the venue. Around 3,000 candles create the signature atmosphere that audiences have come to know and love as well as illuminate performances.<\/p>\n
While the St. John\u2019s concert features work from the Beatles, troops have been known to play music from Coldplay, Vivaldi, ABBA, Beyonc\u00e9 and more.<\/p>\n
