Heim was hired in 2024<\/a>.<\/p>\nHeim is leaving his post after serving in it for nearly two years.<\/p>\n
Supervisor John Piho made clear that, while Heim was officially resigning, his departure is actually a retirement.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s going to go off into the sunset, so to speak,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Heim did not attend the meeting and could no immediately be reached for comment.<\/p>\n
Heim was hired as manager in August 2024, leaving his position as Reading\u2019s managing director. He previous served as police chief in Reading.<\/p>\n
Township Solicitor Chad Schnee said Heim\u2019s presence in Exeter will be missed.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s been a pleasure working with Mr. Heim while he\u2019s been here with the township,\u201d he said. \u201cThe township certainly has been left better off due to his stability and leadership.\u201d<\/p>\n
Supervisor Chairman George Bell likewise praised Heim\u2019s leadership.<\/p>\n
\u201cBill did lend a stable hand to the township,\u201d he said. \u201cHis experience was very valuable.\u201d<\/p>\n
Details of Piersol\u2019s contract were not immediately made public.<\/p>\n
Bell said that Piersol\u2019s experience working for the township will serve him well in his new role.<\/p>\n
