Carpenter, 63, of Earl Township was flown by medical helicopter to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest after the accident about 8:30 a.m. in the 200 block of Mountain Road, police said.<\/p>\n<p>Police said Carpenter was struck by an SUV driven by a 67-year-old woman from Colebrookdale. The driver, who wasn\u2019t injured, stopped immediately after the accident and called 911.<\/p>\n<p>Boyertown Ambulance, Boyertown Area Fire and Rescue, Earl Township Fire Company responded.
