The dawn of the 2026-27 academic year is just weeks away.<\/p>\n

It’s not too late, though, to celebrate the year that was, particularly as it relates to The University of Scranton’s graduates of distinction in the University’s prestigious honors and leadership programs.<\/p>\n

Nearly 100 members of the Class of 2026 graduated from one of Scranton’s programs of excellence.

Special Jesuit Liberal Arts Honors Program<\/p>\n

\"Large<\/p>\n

The Special Jesuit Liberal Arts Honors Program (SJLA) brings together students with an interdisciplinary curriculum rooted in the Jesuit tradition of intellectual excellence, critical inquiry, leadership and service.<\/p>\n

This year, SJLA graduated 34 members.<\/p>\n

University Honors Program<\/p>\n

\"Group<\/p>\n

The University Honors Program challenges students through rigorous independent scholarship, close faculty mentorship and advanced inquiry that culminates in significant original research or creative work.<\/p>\n

This year, the program graduated 31 members.<\/p>\n

Robert L. McKeage Business Leadership Honors Program<\/p>\n

The Robert L. McKeage Business Leadership Honors Program provides transformative leadership and service experiences designed to prepare students for exceptional professional success.<\/p>\n

This year, the program graduated 19 members.<\/p>\n

Magis Honors Program in STEM<\/p>\n

The Magis Honors Program in STEM’s interdisciplinary research experience fosters scholarly achievement and leadership in the sciences, technology, engineering and mathematics.<\/p>\n

This year, the program graduated seven members.<\/p>\n

Frank P. Corcione Business Honors Program<\/p>\n

The Frank P. Corcione Business Honors Program provides high-achieving business students with a four-year experience that combines original research, professional development and leadership formation.<\/p>\n

This year, the program graduated six members.<\/p>\n

Additionally, 60 students were inducted into Alpha Sigma Nu, the national honor society for students in Jesuit colleges and universities. Juniors, senior and graduate students who have distinguished themselves in loyalty, scholarship and service are eligible for membership into the oldest honor society at Scranton.<\/p>\n

Also, earlier this summer, the University announced the 65 members of its undergraduate Class of 2026 who were presented with awards honoring their\u00a0academic excellence, leadership and service.<\/p>\n
