{"id":257156,"date":"2026-08-01T14:07:12","date_gmt":"2026-08-01T14:07:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/257156\/"},"modified":"2026-08-01T14:07:12","modified_gmt":"2026-08-01T14:07:12","slug":"members-of-congress-meet-with-upmc-magee-womens-hospital-nurses","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/257156\/","title":{"rendered":"Members of Congress meet with UPMC Magee Womens Hospital nurses"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">PITTSBURGH \u2014 As contract talks continue between UPMC and its nurses, workers are telling members of Congress they want to see change.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">U.S. representatives Chris Deluzio and Ro Khanna held a roundtable discussion with UPMC Magee Womens Hospital nurses to hear firsthand about the contract negotiations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">The nurses say they\u2019re dealing with staffing shortages and workplace conditions that can impact them and their patients.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">\u201cTheir working conditions can affect our health, the health of their patients, and that\u2019s an important thing.
