The Philadelphia Eagles<\/a> kicked off their weekend with another Training Camp practice, but they unfortuantely came way with a few too many battle scars.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Here’s everything you need to know from Saturday’s action.<\/p>\n

Injury report<\/p>\n

The Eagles were without some key names heading into todays’ practice, including Jihaad Campbell and Lane Johnson. While this is to be expected during camp as the team tries to keep players fresh, it’s still quite the list for the early stages of camp.<\/p>\n

But then, things went from bad to worse. Rookie OG Jaeden Roberts was carted off the field on the last play of the developmental period. A big blow for the UDFA, but not the only one for this years’ crop of rookies. Keyshawn James-Newby was carted into the medical tent, and OL Micah Morris joined him shortly after.<\/a> The teams’ 6th and 7th round selections from this years’ draft both taking significant knocks definitely put a dampener on the practice. Hopefully all three players will be ready to compete in practices before the end of the Summer.<\/p>\n

Rookie OLB Keyshawn James-Newby went down during team drills and is being carted to the medical tent.<\/p>\n

#Eagles<\/a> rookie guard Jaeden Roberts suffered what appears to be a significant injury to his left leg. The cart is out. The injury occurred during the last play of the developmental period.<\/p>\n

Jeremiah Trotter breakout?<\/p>\n

With Jihaad Campbell absent, it was Clemson product Jeremiah Trotter Jr. who made the most of an increased snap-count, which shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise. His steady upward trajectory has been encouraging for Eagles fans,<\/a> and the more first-team reps he can sneak into, the more opportunities to turn heads he has. If Trotter continues to turn heads in camp, he could well end up with a more prominent defensive role as the season progresses.<\/p>\n

We’ve been blessed with Hurts to Smitty deep balls over the years, but with A.J Brown now out of the picture,<\/a> there’s a lot more focus on the duo. It’s safe to say that through the opening phase of camp, they’ve been dialling things in and looking like they’re ready to pick up exactly where they left off last season, only this time with a few more roll-outs and play-action. We could be in for a very exciting offensive season.<\/p>\n

After defense dominated the start to practice for about 10 straight reps the Eagles offense finally gets a big play <\/p>\n

Jalyx Hunt balls out\u00a0<\/p>\n

It might not come as a shock anymore but one of the big winners from today was Jalyx Hunt. One of Fangio’s most explosive and versatile pieces continues to shine during the early practices of 2026 and if a breakout wasn’t already looking possible, it’s looking far more definite as each day passes.<\/p>\n

The Eagles are off on Sunday and will be back in action on Monday morning.
