Three people were shot in Norristown on Saturday, officials from Montgomery County Dispatch confirmed to NBC10. <\/p>\n
The shooting occurred in the area of Chestnut Street and Polk Alley just before 6 p.m.<\/p>\n
The grandmother of two of the victims, Jean Lyons, told NBC10’s Katy Zachry that her teenage granddaughter and a grandson in his 20s were among the three taken to the hospital. <\/p>\n
Lyons was unable to identify the third person taken to the hospital, and seemed still in shock after the incident.<\/p>\n
“That officer sent me to the police station, they sent me back, and this is where I’m at,” she said.<\/p>\n
\u00a0Lyons said she hasn’t learned yet from her daughter what may have prompted the shooting, including whether it was a drive-by or the shooter ran up to the group on foot.<\/p>\n
“They’re good kids. we don’t have no problems out of them,” she said of her two grandchildren who were shot. <\/p>\n
No arrests or motives have been announced.<\/p>\n
