{"id":258089,"date":"2026-08-03T04:00:18","date_gmt":"2026-08-03T04:00:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/258089\/"},"modified":"2026-08-03T04:00:18","modified_gmt":"2026-08-03T04:00:18","slug":"bicyclist-in-critical-condition-after-crash-with-vehicle-by-north-park-boathouse","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/258089\/","title":{"rendered":"Bicyclist in critical condition after crash with vehicle by North Park Boathouse"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">McCANDLESS, Pa.  \u2014 A bicyclist is in critical condition after crashing with a vehicle at North Park. <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">An Allegheny County 911 dispatcher tells Channel 11 that first responders were called to Pearce Mill Road, near the North Park Boathouse, just after 12:30 p.m. for the reported crash. <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">ACPD confirms the bicyclist, an adult man, was taken to a hospital in critical condition.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">Preliminary information in the investigation reportedly shows the vehicle hit the bicyclist while turning left into the boathouse entrance road<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">Drivers are being asked to avoid that section of Pearce Mill Road at this time. <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call the County Police Tip Line, 1-833-ALL-TIPS.
