LEHIGH VALLEY, Pa. \u2013 A time capsule containing a Musikfest mug, Crayola crayons, and other items that represent the Lehigh Valley in 2026 will debut at a local museum Wednesday.<\/p>\n
The \u201cMade in Lehigh Valley\u201d Time Capsule debuts at the National Museum of Industrial History, adding another attraction for the visitors attending Musikfest nearby, the Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation said in a news release.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe time capsule captures a snapshot of the region in 2026 and memorializes what the Lehigh Valley has long been known for: making products and making places,\u201d the LVEDC says.<\/p>\n
The LVEDC says the capsule includes items representing 18 manufacturers, businesses, and organizations.<\/p>\n
The capsule includes Crayola crayons, Peeps, a Broadcom semiconductor, and a Musikfest mug, among other items, according to the news release.<\/p>\n
The LVEDC says the project was created through a partnership between it and the museum as part of the nation’s 250th birthday celebration.<\/p>\n
The time capsule will remain on display until being sealed later this year, the LVEDC says. It will be opened in 2076, when the nation celebrates its 300th birthday.<\/p>\n

The National Museum of Industrial History tells the story of American ingenuity across the centuries, and we\u2019re proud the Lehigh Valley is part of this chapter,\u201d said Nicole Radzievich Mertz, Vice President of Marketing, Communications & Research at LVEDC.<\/p>\n
