Jeffrey Bernard Dombrowski, age 51, of Franklin, Pa., passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 10, 2026, at UPMC Mercy in Pittsburgh. He was born in Erie on Dec. 14, 1974, a son of the late Bernard and Geraldine (Zawistowski) Dombrowski.<\/p>\n
Jeff graduated from McDowell High School and attended Edinboro University. Prior to his health issues, he worked at Applebee\u2019s and various other restaurants throughout the Erie area.\u00a0<\/p>\n
While health challenges confined him to Sugar Creek Care Center in Franklin for several years, he remained a true inspiration to his family, friends, and caregivers. He faced his difficult circumstances with a remarkably positive attitude and a great sense of humor.<\/p>\n
Known to his many friends as \u201cJD\u201d, Jeff was an avid fan of the Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins. He also loved pro wrestling, gaming, and movies.<\/p>\n
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Stanley and Evelyn Dombrowski; his maternal grandparents, Walter and Helen Zawistowski; his cousin, A. Stephen Picardo, III; and his uncle, Richard Dombrowski.<\/p>\n
Jeff is survived by his son, Jeffrey; his brothers, David and Christopher and his wife, Maggie; his uncles, Dennis Dombrowski and his wife Andrea, Ronald Zawistowski and<\/p>\n
Relatives and friends are invited to Saint George Church, 5145 Peach Street, Erie, Pennsylvania 16509, on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, from 10:00 AM to the time of his Memorial Mass at 11:00 AM.
