If you’re not familiar, on the first Tuesday of August, communities all around the U.S. host events for National Night Out.<\/p>\n

The goal is to build relationships between police, first responders and their communities.<\/p>\n

The project actually began right here in Pennsylvania in the 1980’s.<\/p>\n

Near us, Salisbury PD is hosting their event at Salisbury Middle School with a med-evac tour, dunk tank and a K-9 demonstration.<\/p>\n

At City Park in Reading, police will have live music, games and plenty of food and vendors.<\/p>\n

Nazareth will be showing off their drone unit and more at Nazareth Boro Park.<\/p>\n

And in Upper Macungie, first responders there will have rides and games, a car show and even visits from cows and goats.<\/p>\n

There’s plenty of other events happening all around the region.<\/p>\n
