Comfort Keepers of Berks County recently hosted an event to mark a milestone for the company \u2014 25 years of providing in-home care for Berks County seniors.<\/p>\n
The company held a ribbon cutting and reception July 23 in conjunction with the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance, honoring local caregivers and seniors living in Berks County.<\/p>\n
During the event, owners Jennifer Teller and Michael Mish spoke about the mission of Comfort Keepers: Keeping seniors safe in their homes with the highest quality of life possible.<\/p>\n
In her remarks, Teller thanked the caregivers and office staff for helping to make the milestone possible.\u00a0An estimated 40 caregivers, clients and community members attended the event, held at the Comfort Keepers office, 2209 Quarry Drive in Spring Township.<\/p>\n
Dallen Yoh, director of membership, Greater Reading Chamber of Commerce thanked Teller and Comfort Keepers for being a valuable community partner.<\/p>\n
Comfort Keepers offers non-medical home care services for seniors in Berks County. Among the services provided are companion care, personal care, senior transportation and veterans care. According to\u00a0 the company\u2019s website, Comfort Keepers\u2019 care plans include elements of the company\u2019s \u201cinteractive caregiving\u201d philosophy \u2014 an approach where caregivers engage with clients rather than simply performing tasks for them.<\/p>\n
