{"id":258739,"date":"2026-08-04T03:30:52","date_gmt":"2026-08-04T03:30:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/258739\/"},"modified":"2026-08-04T03:30:52","modified_gmt":"2026-08-04T03:30:52","slug":"pediatric-measles-case-reported-in-lehigh-valley-officials-say-nbc10-philadelphia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/258739\/","title":{"rendered":"Pediatric measles case reported in Lehigh Valley, officials say \u2013 NBC10 Philadelphia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A pediatric measles case has been reported in the Lehigh Valley, doctors from St. Luke&#8217;s Health announced on Monday. <\/p>\n<p>St. Luke&#8217;s said it was the first measles case they have treated &#8220;in recent memory.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The health system did not disclose where exactly the case arose from. <\/p>\n<p>Measles cases have been on the rise in the Philadelphia region this summer, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcphiladelphia.com\/news\/local\/chester-county-measles-cases-expected-to-rise-officials-urge-vaccination\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.nbcphiladelphia.com\/news\/local\/chester-county-measles-cases-expected-to-rise-officials-urge-vaccination\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">outbreaks reported in Chester County and Delaware. <\/a><\/p>\n<p>Early symptoms of measles include cough, fever, red, watery eyes and then a rash, officials said.
