COOPERSBURG, Pa. – Musikfest time just got a whole lot sweeter.<\/p>\n
Two Lehigh Valley ice cream shops are running limited time deals to fill up people’s Musikfest mugs, but not with your typical beverage.<\/p>\n
Inside the Inside Scoop in Coopersburg, 69 News Reporter Cierra Genelle ordered her own version of Neapolitan ice cream, inside the iconic Musikfest mug.<\/p>\n
And you can too!<\/p>\n
For $8.49, four flavors of your favorites, scooped one by one.<\/p>\n
“We have great ice cream, it’s homemade. It’s a good deal, and why not come on out?” said Penny Caciolo, owner of The Inside Scoop, on North 3rd Street in Coopersburg.<\/p>\n
Caciolo said it’s the shop’s second year offering the deal on mugs.<\/p>\n
“Last year, I think we sold over 100. It was fun and it was really successful,” Caciolo said. “I think it just allows us to be part of Musikfest here and there.”<\/p>\n
In Northampton Borough, Konkrete Creamery is kicking off its first year of the deal.<\/p>\n
“If not a drink, ice cream. Next best thing, I think,” said Gina Mazziotta, owner of Konkrete Creamery, on Cherryville Road in Northampton Borough.<\/p>\n
Mazziotta said as a Lehigh Valley native herself, she felt like her shop needed its own festivity to celebrate another summer of the nation’s largest free music festival.<\/p>\n
“Just anything that fits in the mug for $9. Whether it be ice cream, you can fill as many flavors as you want. You can fill it with toppings,” said Mazziotta.<\/p>\n
