BETHLEHEM TWP., Pa. – Police say two people were\u00a0seriously injured after the sedan they were in collided with a\u00a0parked vehicle\u00a0in Northampton County.<\/p>\n
Bethlehem Township Police say they responded to the report of a crash in the 2900 block of Jefferson Street around 11 p.m. Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Officers found a black sedan with two people inside, both with significant life-threatening injuries, township police said in a Facebook post.<\/p>\n
Police said it was determined that the sedan was traveling east on Jefferson Street at an excessive rate of speed. The sedan collided with a parked vehicle in the 2900 block of Jefferson Street, police said.<\/p>\n
Township police said the sedan spun off the roadway on the north side of the street and came to rest in the front yard of a home.<\/p>\n
The impact of the collision caused the parked vehicle to roll approximately 200 feet down the roadway, leave the roadway on the north shoulder and collide with a third vehicle that was parked in a residential driveway, according to\u00a0township police.<\/p>\n
Police said the 20-year-old driver and 19-year-old passenger, who were not wearing passenger seat belts, had life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n
Both were brought to a local hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n
Nobody else was injured.<\/p>\n
