A Bethlehem man pleaded guilty to stabbing his ex-wife in front of their two children, and was sentenced to 15 to 40 years in state prison, the Northampton County district attorney\u2019s office said.<\/p>\n
Jose Antonio Ramirez-Duran, 48, pleaded guilty to attempted homicide, burglary and endangering the welfare of a child, after one day of a trial in Northampton County Court.<\/p>\n
Bethlehem police responded to a report of an assault June 9, 2024. The victim told police she had been stabbed by her ex-husband, Ramirez-Duran, and she had wounds on her neck, chest and back.<\/p>\n
Police said Ramirez-Duran forced entry his way into the victim\u2019s home, began assaulting her, retrieved a folding knife, and began to cut the upper portion of the victim\u2019s back. He then stabbed the victim in the chest, before pulling her to a separate area of the residence and stabbing her in the neck.
