{"id":260557,"date":"2026-08-06T20:08:43","date_gmt":"2026-08-06T20:08:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/260557\/"},"modified":"2026-08-06T20:08:43","modified_gmt":"2026-08-06T20:08:43","slug":"lower-saucon-road-closure-extended-because-of-delivery-issues","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/260557\/","title":{"rendered":"Lower Saucon road closure extended because of delivery issues"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A bridge project in Lower Saucon Township will take a little longer than expected.<\/p>\n<p>The township said completion of PennDOT\u2019s replacement of a bridge\/culvert on Black River Road between the St. Luke\u2019s Hospice and the Black River Farms development has been pushed back because of a delay in the production and delivery of bridge deck beams.<\/p>\n<p>The goal was to have the job completed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mcall.com\/2026\/05\/18\/bridge-replacement-to-close-lehigh-valley-road-for-the-summer\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">by the beginning of the school year<\/a>, but that won\u2019t be possible, the township said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe understand this may impact travel plans and appreciate everyone\u2019s patience as work continues,\u201d Lower Saucon said in an email. \u201cAs PennDOT provides additional updates, we will share that information with residents as soon as it becomes available.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Work on the project began in June.<\/p>\n<p>Traffic will continue to follow a detour that uses Route 378, Hickory Hill Road and Bingen Road.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A bridge project in Lower Saucon Township will take a little longer than expected.
