WERNERSVILLE, Pa. – An independent living resident at Phoebe Berks will receive a very special musical honor.<\/p>\n
Michael \u201cMike\u201d Zezenski will be inducted into the Berks County Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Phoebe Berks said in a news release.<\/p>\n
His induction will take place during a special ceremony at FirstEnergy Stadium on Wednesday, August 12, at 6:30 p.m. prior to the Reading Fightin Phils game.<\/p>\n
Phoebe Berks says friends, family, fellow musicians, and community members are invited to join in recognizing Zezenski and the other honorees for their contributions to Berks County’s vibrant music scene.<\/p>\n
Zezenski has entertained audiences throughout Berks County and beyond as a member of several well-known local bands, Phoebe Berks says.<\/p>\n
From 1968 to 2013, he played drums with bands such as Side Street (during the 1980s and 2005-2008), The Inspirations, The Incredible Showmen, Stoneground, Lil Ragu Blues Band, Second Chance, Presence, and Triple Shot, according to the news release.<\/p>\n
Phoebe Berks says the Berks County Rock & Roll Hall of Fame recognizes musicians and performers who have made lasting contributions to the region’s rich musical heritage.<\/p>\n
Zezenski’s induction celebrates his dedication to music, his commitment to live performance, and the impact he has had on the local music community over the years, Phoebe Berks says.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am pleased to be selected for this honor. I worked so hard to achieve great results when I performed, and I am happy to be recognized for it,\u201d said Zezenski.<\/p>\n
