A Madison Twp. man threatened to kill another man while holding a fixed-blade knife July 30, according to a criminal complaint.<\/p>\n
Jason Robert Hineline, 47, of 244 Hillside Park, is charged with terroristic threats, assault and harassment.<\/p>\n
State troopers were called to the home at about 7:30 p.m. on a report of an armed man involved in an altercation.<\/p>\n
Jason Matz, the alleged victim, said he was visiting the residence with his girlfriend when he got into an argument with another woman, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n
Hineline heard the dispute, became angry and then charged Matz, police said.<\/p>\n
Hineline allegedly pulled a 4-inch black Ruko fixed-blade knife from a plastic sheath attached to his belt, held it near Matz, and threatened to slit his throat and kill him.<\/p>\n
Matz fled and called law enforcement. State police later found the knife inside Hineline\u2019s residence, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n
Hineline remains at Lackawanna County Prison in lieu of $20,000 bail.
