SUMMIT TOWNSHIP \u2014 The township\u2019s Board of Supervisors voted unanimously this week to repay nearly $285,000 owed to Crawford County and the township\u2019s library ahead of schedule.<\/p>\n

The second installment on the township\u2019s repayment of a $250,000 tax anticipation note from the county would have been due Sept. 30. The third payment of $34,539 due to the Henretta Memorial Library was due the same day. Instead, both debts will be paid in the coming days. The early repayment saves the township about $400, but the move was motivated by more than a desire to achieve slight savings, according to Supervisor Lud Zarembinski.<\/p>\n
