\t\t\tOBITUARY\t\t<\/p>\n
David Richard Scopelliti, of Archbald, PA, quietly passed into eternal life on August 4, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born on August 3, 1976, David is the beloved son of Diana Newton Picchini and Richard Scopelliti, Sr.; step-father Thomas Picchini and step-mother Ann Marie Scopelliti. David is survived by his loving wife, Jaimie Davis Scopelliti. They would have celebrated their 21 st wedding anniversary on September 4. David is also survived by his son and best friend, Codie Davis-Scopelliti.<\/p>\n
\nDavid\u2019s survivors include step-sons Eddie and Collin Santerangelo, brother Richard Scopelliti, Jr., sister Jill Scopelliti Callejas, step-sister Kristen Picchini Oleary, step-sister Kim Farina, step-brother Frankie Farina, aunt Anita Botek, uncle William Newton, godmother Donna Conaghan, father-in-law Richard Davis and long-time companion Irene Hutchinson, mother-in-law Debbie Moore, sisters-in-law Katina Davis and Candice Arnau, special nephew Casey Patchoski, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, dear cousins, and friends.<\/p>\n
\nDavid was preceded in death by grandparents George and Hazel Newton, and Henry and Eleanor Scopelliti, aunt and uncle Carol and Richard Harrison, uncle Paul Botek, step-brother-in-law Dave Oleary, and godfather Joseph Rotell.<\/p>\n
\nA graduate of Valley View High School, Class of 1994, David went on to earn his B.A. in Art Education from Kutztown University. Dave worked with Bill Davis Landscaping and Farina Landscaping for several years before joining Scranton Wilbert Burial Vault Company, where he worked for 15 years, earning the respect of all with whom he came into contact \u2013 once he was even called a Mensch \u2013 please look it up.<\/p>\n
\nDavid will be remembered by everyone who ever met him for his kind, gentle, humble, compassionate, and unassuming spirit, his subtle dry wit, his many varied talents, whether in his amazing artwork or his ingenuity creating, designing, building, or fixing anything. Most of all, David will be remembered for his deep love for his wife, son, and all of his family.<\/p>\n
\nDavid faced this health challenge through all the ups and downs with unbelievable bravery, fighting every moment for more time to be with the people he loved. Typical of David, his constant concern was for everyone else who traveled this journey with him.<\/p>\n
\nThe family thanks all the doctors, nurses, and everyone at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore who were with David throughout the last 8 months for their many kindnesses and efforts to keep him with us, especially Dr. Aliyah Pabani and Valerie Peterson. We know, and David knew, that everything possible was done for him. A very special thanks to the ambulance crew for making his wish to be home a reality. Deep gratitude to Allied Services Hospice for their care and kindness to David and all of us.<\/p>\n
\nA member of Christ the King Parish, David\u2019s Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 10, at 10:00 A.M. in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 429 Church Street, Archbald, PA. Visitation for family and friends will be from 2-4 P.M. On Sunday, August 9, in the Arthur A. Albini Funeral Home, 1003 Church St., Jessup, PA 18434.<\/p>\n
