The wins will give the party an 8-1 school board majority when the board reorganizes next month.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-subscribe\"><a href=\"https:\/\/patch.com\/pennsylvania\/bensalem\/subscribe?utm_source=amp&amp;utm_campaign=subscribe&amp;utm_medium=mobile&amp;utm_term=subscribe_in_article\" class=\"article-subscribe-link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Subscribe<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Former School Director Rachel Fingles was among the Democratic winners on Tuesday. Meanwhile, 23-year-old Rodger Allen will also be joining the board.<\/p>\n<p>The school board race has focused on debate over a new middle school. The school board recently held off a vote to allow the new school board to make that decision.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I\u2019m sorry to say that I lost last night for the election to the school board in Bensalem,&#8221; Cohen posted on Facebook. &#8220;I wanna thank all my friends and everyone who came out and helped me along this journey. I was fortunate enough to be on the board for 10 years. I\u2019ll never forget all the amazing memories.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Results in Tuesday&#8217;s general election by the Bucks County Board of Elections are unofficial until they are certified at a later date.<\/p>\n<p>These are Tuesday&#8217;s unofficial election results:<\/p>\n<p> Bensalem Township School Board <\/p>\n<p>Kate Pascucci (Democrat) \u2014 9,244 votes<\/p>\n<p>Leann Hart (Democrat) \u2014 8,987 votes<\/p>\n<p>Rachel Fingles (Democrat) \u2014 8,812 votes<\/p>\n<p>Rodger Allen (Democrat) \u2014 8,727 votes<br \/>\nMarc Cohen (Republican) \u2014 8,257 votes<br \/>\nSheldon Per (Republican) \u2014 8,147 votes<br \/>\nAbby Koss (Republican) \u2014 8,053 votes<br \/>\nLee Schum (Republican) \u2014 7,850 votes<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"GOP School Director Marc Cohen lost his re-election bid in Tuesday&#8217;s general election, according to unofficial results.
