Allentown police are investigating a Friday afternoon shooting that wounded a man on the city\u2019s east side.<\/p>\n
Police were called to the 700 block of Westminster Street around 2:50 p.m. for a report of a shooting. They found a man with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, according to a news release from Allentown police Assistant Chief Michael Becker.<\/p>\n
The man was taken by EMS to an area hospital for treatment of his injuries, Becker said.<\/p>\n
