{"id":261336,"date":"2026-08-08T00:26:07","date_gmt":"2026-08-08T00:26:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/261336\/"},"modified":"2026-08-08T00:26:07","modified_gmt":"2026-08-08T00:26:07","slug":"west-pittston-historical-society-to-celebrate-25th-anniversary-with-pie-and-ice-cream-social","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/261336\/","title":{"rendered":"West Pittston Historical Society to celebrate 25th anniversary with Pie and Ice Cream Social"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<p>WEST PITTSTON \u2014 The West Pittston Historical Society (WPHS) has a big anniversary on the horizon and Mary Portelli, WPHS president, said the organization has an old-fashioned Pie &amp; Ice Cream Social planned to celebrate the its 25th anniversary.<\/p>\n<p>The event is slated for 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, at the First United Methodist Church, 408 Wyoming Ave.<\/p>\n<p>Attendees will be served a hearty slice of Braces Orchard pie along with ice cream from Ballyhoo for $5.
