Perry on waivers, per the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nfl.com\/transactions\/league\/waivers\/2026\/8\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">NFL transaction wire<\/a>. Additionally, the Steelers have also released tight end J.J. Galbreath.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">Perry had been having a solid camp, being a consistent target of Drew Allar during team periods. He hasn\u2019t appeared in a regular season game since 2023 when he appeared in 10 games with the New Orleans Saints, catching 12 passes for 246 yards and four touchdowns. He signed a futures contract with the Steelers in January.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">Galbreath has yet to appear in a regular season game.
