What Bigsby showed the Eagles last season was a taste of what could be to come: He averaged 5.9 yards per carry, with\u00a0344 yards\u00a0and two touchdowns on 58 carries after the Eagles\u00a0acquired\u00a0him in a trade with Jacksonville. The combination of Saquon Barkley and Bigsby produced in a crammed-together sequence of weeks, and now that Bigsby has been here through an entire offseason, the vision for the running game \u2013 one that includes the rest of the jammed running back room with Will Shipley, Dameon Pierce, and Elijah Mitchell \u2013 is exciting, to say the least.<\/p>\n
Bigsby is taking it all in. In a scheme that has the backs in more of a north-south style of running \u2013 a “downhill system,” Bigsby called it \u2013 he is preparing for whatever the coaches have in mind for him.<\/p>\n

“I just come to work and do what I have to do every day,” he said.\u00a0“You know, whatever I\u00a0got\u00a0to do to help the team win,\u202fI step up and do my role. I feel like\u00a0we’re\u00a0building.\u202fWe’re\u00a0learning.\u202fWe’re\u00a0getting\u00a0better and better, especially since OTAs.”<\/p>\n
How does Bigsby fit into the offense? He has multi-dimensional skills and\u00a0he’s\u00a0here to use them \u2013 running, receiving, pass pro. In his second season here, with a new number \u2013 jersey No. 8, pleasing to Bigsby after transitioning from No. 4 in Jacksonville to No. 37 with the Eagles in 2025 \u2013 Bigsby is ready to attack.<\/p>\n
That’s\u00a0his style \u2013 slashing, taking the initiative, being\u00a0the\u00a0aggressor.<\/p>\n
