Showers and thunderstorms could bring damaging winds and hail Monday to the Lehigh Valley.<\/p>\n
The region as well as neighboring Berks, Carbon, Monroe and upper Bucks counties are under a slight risk of severe weather in the afternoon and evening hours, according to the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, New Jersey.<\/p>\n
The main risk for storms Monday would be damaging wind gusts, however brief, heavy downpours and hail are possible as well. There is a marginal risk of excessive rainfall Monday too.<\/p>\n
Forecasters said hot and humid conditions will continue until the middle of the week. A high of 90 is expected Monday. Highs in the 80s are expected the rest of the week.<\/p>\n
