{"id":262662,"date":"2026-08-10T15:26:09","date_gmt":"2026-08-10T15:26:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/262662\/"},"modified":"2026-08-10T15:26:09","modified_gmt":"2026-08-10T15:26:09","slug":"tanker-truck-driver-killed-in-route-309-crash-in-lehigh-county-identified","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/262662\/","title":{"rendered":"Tanker truck driver killed in Route 309 crash in Lehigh County identified"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Officials have identified a Schuylkill County man <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mcall.com\/2026\/08\/07\/route-309-fatal-crash-gun-club-road\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">killed Friday in a crash on Route 309 in northern Lehigh County.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Keith Staines, 52, of Tamaqua, was driving a tanker truck about 3:30 p.m. in the area of Route 309 and Gun Club Road in Lynn Township, when it was involved in a crash with a tractor-trailer, according to Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio.<\/p>\n<p>Staines was pronounced dead at the scene about 4:10 p.m., the coroner said.
