WYOMISSING, Pa. – According to the Wyomissing fire chief, a two-alarm fire broke out at a Berks County residence early Sunday morning, killing three pets trapped inside the home.<\/p>\n
The fire broke out late Saturday night, just before midnight Sunday, on Edgedale Court, according to authorities.<\/p>\n
Fire officials say emergency response teams responded quickly and worked until around 3 a.m. to get the flames under control.<\/p>\n
According to authorities, no residents were home at the time.<\/p>\n
The fire chief reports that no civilians or firefighters were injured. One dog and two cats did not survive.<\/p>\n
The home is severely damaged and cannot be lived in at this time, officials say.<\/p>\n
