{"id":262832,"date":"2026-08-10T20:32:11","date_gmt":"2026-08-10T20:32:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/262832\/"},"modified":"2026-08-10T20:32:11","modified_gmt":"2026-08-10T20:32:11","slug":"new-restaurant-to-open-soon-at-former-hellertown-wings-and-sports-bar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/262832\/","title":{"rendered":"New restaurant to open soon at former Hellertown wings and sports bar"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A new restaurant will soon replace a former wings and sports bar in Hellertown.<\/p>\n<p>Owner Alejandro Lopez said Gigi &amp; Alex Restaurant will open by the end of the month at 605 Main St., where Wings on Main Sports Bar &amp; Grille used to operate.<\/p>\n<p>Named for Lopez\u2019s children, the restaurant will serve breakfast through dinner with dishes such as pancakes, eggs, French toast, burgers, pasta and gyros \u2014 \u201ca little of everything,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLike everyone, that was my goal, my dream one day, to do my own restaurant,\u201d said Lopez, who has worked for over 20 years in the restaurant industry.<\/p>\n<p>Gigi &amp; Alex Restaurant will be open 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mcall.com\/2026\/06\/18\/hellertown-wings-and-sports-bar-to-permanently-close\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Wings on Main<\/a> closed in late June.
