JESSUP, LACKAWANNA CO., (WOLF) \u2014 Authorities are investigating the deaths of a father and daughter who were found inside their Lackawanna County home after police were called to conduct a welfare check.<\/p>\n
Jessup Borough Police identified the victims as Anthony Bruno, 68, and his daughter, Samantha Bruno, 32.<\/p>\n
Police said officers responded Monday to 367 Lane St. in Jessup for a welfare check and discovered the residence was secured from the inside.<\/p>\n
The two victims were eventually found inside the master bedroom on the second floor of the home, according to police.<\/p>\n
The Lackawanna County Coroner’s Office said the causes of death for both Anthony and Samantha Bruno remain undetermined and under investigation.<\/p>\n
Earlier Monday, Lackawanna County District Attorney Brian Gallagher told FOX56 that authorities were investigating a shooting involving two deaths in Jessup.<\/p>\n
“There is a shooting investigation in which two are deceased in Jessup, Pa.,” Gallagher told FOX56.<\/p>\n
The family’s dog was also found dead inside the residence, according to Jessup Police Chief Eddie Boettcher.<\/p>\n
Chief Boettcher said they have not received calls about the residence before today.<\/p>\n
Jessup police are investigating with assistance from Pennsylvania State Police and the Lackawanna County Coroner’s Office.<\/p>\n
Authorities said they believe the deaths stem from an isolated incident and stressed that there is no danger to the public.<\/p>\n
