A 69-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday morning after, police said, he barricaded himself inside a home in the Cobbs Creek section of West Philadelphia after he allegedly shot a man. <\/p>\n
According to police, the situation unfolded at about 1:10 a.m., when first responders encountered a 53-year-old man who had been shot in the ankle while inside a home along the 5500 block of Addison Street. <\/p>\n
At that time, the man was taken to a nearby hospital where, officials said, he was listed in stable condition. <\/p>\n
Police located the suspected gunman at that home, however, officials said, the man barricaded himself inside the property for several hours.<\/p>\n
By about 4:25 a.m., officials said, police had taken the man into custody and the barricade situation ended.<\/p>\n
Police did not provide additional information on the suspect or what charges he may face following this incident.<\/p>\n
