{"id":263280,"date":"2026-08-11T14:48:10","date_gmt":"2026-08-11T14:48:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/263280\/"},"modified":"2026-08-11T14:48:10","modified_gmt":"2026-08-11T14:48:10","slug":"man-who-shot-woman-in-bethlehem-sentenced-to-at-least-10-years-in-prison-bethlehem-area","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/263280\/","title":{"rendered":"Man who shot woman in Bethlehem sentenced to at least 10 years in prison | Bethlehem Area"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>BETHLEHEM, Pa. &#8211; A Bethlehem man who shot a woman in the city learned his sentence Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Allen Jahmell Grimes, 20, was sentenced to 10 to 20 years in state prison, followed by five years of state probation, the Northampton County District Attorney\u2019s Office said in a news release.<\/p>\n<p>The DA\u2019s office said Grimes pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated assault.<\/p>\n<p>On February 28, 2024, Bethlehem Police responded to a report of a shooting at the 400 block of Cherokee Street, the DA\u2019s office said.<\/p>\n<p>The DA\u2019s office said officers found a male and a female victim at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>The woman sustained a gunshot wound to the neck and was immediately brought to a local hospital for emergency medical treatment, according to the DA\u2019s office.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"BETHLEHEM, Pa. &#8211; A Bethlehem man who shot a woman in the city learned his sentence Monday.
