(WKYT) &#8211; The Nicholasville City Commission approved the first reading of an ordinance concerning e-bikes and e-scooters on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The ordinance would require riders to follow all traffic laws, yield to pedestrians and operate at a reasonable speed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">It would ban the use of e-bikes and e-scooters in parks and on sidewalks.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Use would be limited to children 12 years of age and under.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The ordinance will need a second reading before final approval.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"link | text-reset d-block h-100 w-100\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wkyt.com\/page\/wkyt-apps-for-ios-and-android-devices\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_self\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"WKYT Streaming Apps\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/MEPHTWNVMREWLEQQWWFJM27ZMA.png\" width=\"980\" height=\"199\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 WKYT.
