Pennsylvania man faces arson charges after 4 suspicious fires cause nearly $2.5M in damage, police say<\/p>\n

A western Pennsylvania man is facing multiple felony charges after four suspicious fires caused nearly $2.5 million in property damage, according to Pennsylvania State Police. <\/p>\n

Authorities said Christopher Brady, 38, formerly of Penn Run, was charged with four counts of arson and related offenses. <\/p>\n

Four suspicious fires <\/p>\n

State police said they investigated four suspicious fires in the same area of Cherryhill Township between October 2024 and August 2025: <\/p>\n

Oct. 9, 2024, and July 18, 2025: Two separate commercial building fires at the Eastern Orthodox Foundation on Route 422.Aug. 10, 2025: A commercial building fire at Pike’s Peak Nurseries on Route 422. Aug. 11, 2025: A fire at a vacant home at 10 South Harmony Road. <\/p>\n

Troopers said the estimated total property loss was $2.475 million. <\/p>\n

Burglary led police to identify suspect <\/p>\n

According to police, a burglary was reported on July 17, 2025, at a separate building occupied by Spirit Life on property owned by the Eastern Orthodox Foundation. <\/p>\n

Investigators said surveillance video showed a black pickup truck with a silver toolbox leaving the scene, which police later determined belonged to Brady. <\/p>\n

Using cellphone location data, authorities said they were able to place Brady at or near the scenes of the suspicious fires. <\/p>\n

Brady was taken into custody and transported to the Indiana County Jail with bail set at $2 million, according to police. <\/p>\n

A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Aug. 25, 2026. <\/p>\n
